  1. Hi Sandy. The image you posted shows the real fear we as human beigns feel at the moment to speak. Sometimes we as teachers and parents are looking for production, specially speaking, but often it is not considered that speaking con not be assessed in an isolated way. We need to take into account certain parameters to assess this skill. For example flunecy, pronunciation and tone. We need to focus not only in the product, but also in the process.

  2. hello Sandy, I believe it is because we have so many things in mind to say at the same time. the less our ideas are organize the less, I believe, we could could express our ideas. somehow we have to search for the most improtant idea we want to express in a certain moment, like saying the principle idea and then secondary, and so on and so forth, related to the topic we are expressing, if we are organized al list in our mind probably we won't have problems saying all that's in our heads.

  3. Hi Sandy. The picture illustrates perfectly one of the hardest challenges that many students must face: to speak in public. Even the bravest person has felt, at least once, their legs and hands trembling like jelly when they have to give a speech. Your question is,
why is it so difficult to express what you have in mind? I think many factors are included in this matter. Starting with the fact that a person can face speaking fear even in their mother tongue. So, imagine how difficult it is for L2 teachers to help our students to speak in the target language. Sometimes there are emotional factors included too, and it makes it even more difficult. This reinforces the thought that teachers are not only teachers, but also psychologists, mothers/fathers, friends... But this only happens when teaching is not just a career but your vocation. How beautiful is this, huh? :D
